Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
